Joseph the Dreamer is set to return to the stage this July, marking the 36th year since the show first opened in Cebu in 1989.

The production was most recently staged in 2020 and 2022, under the direction of Paolo Valenciano. In this upcoming run, Sam Concepcion reprises his role as Joseph—a character he has portrayed since the 2020 revival. Gary Valenciano, who originally played Joseph in the 1999 and 2000 runs, will once again take on the role of the family patriarch, Jacob, which he previously played in 2022. Additional cast members for this staging have yet to be announced.

Written by Freddie Santos and based on Cam Floria’s cantata Dreamer: What Really Happened to Joseph, Joseph the Dreamer draws from the biblical story of Joseph, the 11th son of Jacob. Set on a path of greatness, Joseph faces trials that test his faith. Fueled by jealousy, his brothers sell him into slavery—unaware that this cruel act would lead him on an extraordinary journey of hope and trust.

The show runs from July 11 to 20, 2025, at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza. Tickets are priced at ₱3,850 (Orchestra Center), ₱2,750 (Orchestra Side), ₱2,200 (Loge Center and Loge Side), and ₱1,650 (Balcony), available via Ticket2Me.
