Fox just aired a live TV special of the musical Rent starring Tinashe (Mimi Marquez), Jordan Fisher (Mark), Brennin Hunt (Roger), Vanessa Hudgens (Maureen Johnson), Brandon Dixon (Tom Collins), Valentina (Angel Schunard), Kiersey Clemons (Joanne Jefferson), and Mario (Benny).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, lead actor Brennin Hunt suffered an injury to his right foot near the end of the dress rehearsal on Saturday, the night before the show was set to air live on Fox. To salvage the situation, the broadcast used footage from Saturday’s dress rehearsal and intercut it with live performances.

Michael Greif, the director of Rent’s original Broadway production, oversaw the stage direction of the live musical, and Alex Rudzinksi served as the live television director.
