WATCH: ‘Walang Aray’ Cast Performs ‘Pangako Yan’
PETA has just dropped its first cast recording track entitled Pangako Yan from the company’s upcoming musical Walang Aray.
The track features KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad, who play Tenyong and Julia, and ensemble cast members Ayla M. Garcia, Yeyin De La Cruz, Ada Tayao, Csairus John, Donn Boco, and Tom Bienvenida.
Walang Aray is a new musical that mashes the classic with contemporary language, funk and pop tunes, and tongue-in-cheek humor. It is written by Rody Vera and directed by Ian Segarra, with music by Vince Lim, based on Severino Reyes’ Walang Sugat.
Also in the creative team are Happy Constantino (sound designer), Gio Gahol (choreographer), Julio Garcia (production designer), Ayla Garcia (voice coach), David Esguerra (lighting designer), and JayLo Cunanan (costume designer).
Walang Aray will run at the PETA Theater Center from February 17 to May 14, 2023. You can find ticketing information on PETA’s Facebook page.
