WATCH: Rare Chadwick Boseman Footage Singing in Tupac Musical
Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has unfortunately passed away from colon cancer last August 28 at age 43.
Although Boseman never got to be on Broadway, theater director Kenny Leon tweeted footage of Boseman performing the lead role during a workshop of the musical, Holler If Ya Hear Me. In the video, he performs the song I Ain’t Mad at Cha with co-star Christopher Jackson. The show is a jukebox musical written by Todd Kreidler featuring the rap music of Tupac Shakur.

Holler If Ya Hear Me follows a non-biographical story about friendship, family, revenge, change, and hope. Inner city lives struggle for peace against the daily challenges they face in the production, and audiences are given a window into realities of the streets still relevant today.
Online tributes and messages of love and support have been pouring in since, from Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, to Hollywood actor Denzel Washington, who helped pay for his college tuition.
The world mourns his loss, especially the black community in America with his significant contributions to black culture.
