“The Prince of Egypt” West End Musical Cast Announced
As previously reported, “The Prince of Egypt” will officially open on February 25, 2020 at the Dominion Theatre of the West End, running for a limited 32-week engagement.
In an exclusive feature, WhatsOnStage has revealed the principal cast for the musical. Filipino homegrown theater artist and original West End Hamilton cast member Christine Allado will play Tzipporah, the wife of Moses.

Also in the cast are Luke Brady as Moses, Liam Tamne as Ramses, and Alexia Khadime as Miriam.

The musical will feature 5 songs from the original 1998 animated feature written by Stephen Schwartz, including the Academy Award-winning song “When You Believe”, popularized by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. It will also include 10 new songs also written by Schwartz. The production will be directed by Scott Schwartz, with a book written by Philip LeZebnik and choreography by Sean Cheesman. The show will be produced by DreamWorks Theatricals, Michael McCabe, and Neil Laidlaw.
The animated film is an adaptation of the Book of Exodus following the life of Moses, from being a prince of Egypt to being the man who led the children of Israel out of Egypt.
