‘Snow White and the Prince’ by REP Full Cast Announced
REP’s Theater for Young Audiences (RTYA), Repertory Philippines’ annual theatrical offering that’s catered to its young theater-goers, is returning to the Onstage Theater of Greenbelt 1 this September with Janes Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman’s Snow White and the Prince. It will be the last production in that theater before the mall gets torn down for renovation.
Over the past few days, REP has been announcing the cast over its social media accounts. Alternating for Snow White are Jillian Ita-as, Kiara Dario, Anyah de Guzman, and Pappel. Alternating for the Queen are Carla Guevara Laforteza, Pinky Marquez, and Julia Serad. Alternating for the Prince are MC Dela Cruz, Neo Rivera, and Rapah Manalo.
The Mirror will be alternated by Franco Ramos, Chino Veguillas, and Sebastian Katigbak, The Nursemaid will be alternated by Cara Barredo, Abi Sulit, and Ring Antonio, and The Seven Dwarfs will be alternated by Barbara Jance, Jay Barrameda, Naths Everett, Omar Uddin, Mica Fajardo, Basti Santos, Nelson Caruncho, Sophie Banaag, Reese Dela Vega Iso, Ralph Oliva, Kenny Isidoro, Tiago Santos, and Czar Decena and Aixia Mallary, who both also serve as Swings. Rupert will be alternated by Chesko Rodriguez, Dingdong Rosales, and Diego Aranda.
The ensemble members include Deo Dela Cruz, Jay Pangilinan, Cheska Quimno, Ashley Lim, Fay Castro, Jacqui Jacinto, JV Fulgencio, Matel Patayon, Mark Anthony Grantos, Rofe Villarino, Liway Perez, and Sean Nolasco.
The show is directed by RTYA Founder and Creative Director Joy Virata. Joining her in the creative team are Cara Barredo (Assistant Director, Musical Director, Vocal Coach), Stephen Viñas (Choreographer), Kayla Teodoro (Set Designer), Raven Ong (Costume Designer), and John Batalla (Lights Designer and Technical Director).
The story follows Snow White as she prepares for her birthday ball and dreams of finding her prince charming. When the star-crossed couple meets, it’s love at first sight, but the vain and evil Queen – who fears the princess’ beauty – will stop at nothing to be the fairest of the land. With the help of a trusted friend, Snow White is forced to flee into the forest.
