Smash’s “Bombshell in Concert” to Stream Online
TVLine reports that Smash, NBC’s 2012-2013 musical drama series, will be streaming the 2015 Bombshell in Concert on May 20, 8pm ET at People.com for the benefit of the Actors Fund.
Smash revolves around the drama that occurs behind the scenes, as the team creates a Broadway musical called Bombshell on the life of Marilyn Monroe. The cast is led by Katharine McPhee, Megan Hilty, Debra Messing, Christian Borle, Jeremy Jordan, Jack Davenport, and Anjelica Huston.
Renée Zellweger will be introducing the event, while Julie Klausner will be hosting the live, virtual cast reunion. The aforementioned cast, together with other cast members Leslie Odom Jr., Will Chase, Jaime Cepero, and Brian D’Arcy James, are expected to make an appearance. The songs of Bombshell are written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman,
Bombshell in Concert was taped at Broadway’s Minskoff Theater on June 8, 2015. It is said to be one of the most successful fundraisers for The Actors Fund.
