‘& Juliet’ Announces Open Auditions for Manila Production

As previously reported, a homegrown production of & Juliet is set to be staged by Full House Theater Company (FHTC) in 2027. To bring the musical to life, the company is searching for a large cast of singers, actors, and trained dancers to take on its principal and ensemble roles.

Open calls are scheduled for August 17 and 18, 2026, at the Executive Meeting Room 1 of the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts. Registration will be open from 9AM to 12PM on both days, with applicants accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. The auditions proper will follow from 1PM to 6PM. Applicants selected to continue will be invited to the dance call on August 19 and final callbacks and casting on August 20.

The production will feature a cast of 21 or more performers, including a mainly female ensemble and roles for mature performers. FHTC is seeking versatile performers who can meet the musical’s demanding vocal, acting, and dance requirements. Roles available include Juliet, with a vocal range of F3 to F#5; Romeo, E3 to E5; William, Db3 to Bb4; Anne, A3 to E5; May, B2 to A4; Nurse, E3 to E5; François, Bb2 to B4; Lance, F2 to F4; Rosaline, C4 to D5; Portia, Bb3 to G4; Helena, C4 to C5; Lady Capulet, C4 to G4; and Lord Capulet, C4 to G4. FHTC is also looking for strong singers and trained dancers to complete the ensemble and chorus.

& Juliet

Applicants must pre-register through the company’s Google Form and choose either August 17 or 18 as their preferred open-call date. Performers invited to the next rounds must be available on August 19 and 20. The deadline for online registration is August 14 at 12:00 noon. Each applicant must complete an on-site registration form and bring a curriculum vitae, full-body photograph, and half-body photograph. For the vocal audition, performers must prepare 32 bars from any song featured in & Juliet.

Featuring the music of Swedish songwriter and producer Max Martin—including songs made famous by Britney Spears, Katy Perry, the Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, and others such as “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “…Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” “That’s the Way It Is,” and “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”—and a book by David West Read (Schitt’s Creek), the musical flips the script on Shakespeare’s tragedy. It asks: “What would happen next if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo?”
