The Founders

Joel and Jacq Garcia are real life partners as husband and wife who met at a theatre guild in their University. Their love for arts continued and Jacq had workshops in Tanghalang Pilipino and at PETA. Joel, on the other hand was a part of Tanghalang Pilipino’s Actors Company.

Why the company was created

The name Bezalel is from the Bible which means “in the shadow or protection of God”. He is also a character in the book where he is an artisan who was part in creation of the Ark of the Covenant.

We at TBA, believes that each of us is given a talent. Each of us can and should enhance it for His purpose. However due to some reasons our passion are being held. We would like to create a space and time for the artists where they can showcase their craft once more. Hence, this event.

The Event

The night is all about exhibits, music, poetry, spoken word, monologue and we will also have time for open mic. There will be small bazaars too – from old books, crochet handicrafts and some pastries! Anyone is welcome to give and share their talent specially this is also an avenue for people who has interests in arts. This event will also serve as a fundraiser for us to mount different projects for all art forms in the future at different cities.

If anyone is interested, please contact Jacq Nacu-Garcia at 0998-546-2927 or message the Bezalel Artists’ Facebook page directly.
