Princess “Diana” Bio-Musical to Open on Broadway in 2020
“Diana”, the bio-musical about the late Princess Diana, is set to move to Broadway at the Longacre Theatre on March 2, 2020, with an official opening on March 31, as reported by Deadline.
The production ended its premiere run in San Diego’s La Jolla Playhouse last April. Principal cast members Jeanna de Waal (Diana), Roe Hartrampf (Charles), Erin Davie (Camilla Parker Bowles), and Jude Kaye (Queen Elizabeth) will be reprising their roles for the Broadway run.
When Lady Diana Spencer married Prince Charles, she instantly became a cultural phenomenon. Leading fiercely with her heart, Princess Diana stood up for her family, her country and herself. She defied expectations, she rocked the royals and she created a legacy that will endure forever.
“Diana” is written by Joe DiPietro and David Bryan and directed by Christopher Ashley, with music supervision and arrangements by Ian Eisendrath, choreography by Kelly Devine, and costume designs by William Ivey Long.
