“Ang Larawan” Soundtrack Just Dropped on Spotify!
A little over a week before the much-anticipated movie musical opens at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) on December 25th, “Ang Larawan’s” movie soundtrack has just been released on Spotify!
This comes about a week after the official music video of “Kay Sarap ng Buhay Noong Araw” was released on Facebook and YouTube featuring Joanna Ampil and Rachel Alejandro, the two formidable actresses who play Candida and Paula Marasigan respectively.
Based on National Artist Nick Joaquin’s book, “A Portrait of the Artist as Filipino,” the music was composed by Ryan Cayabyab with lyrics by National Artist Rolando Tinio. The cast features other powerhouse theater and film actors including Sandino Martin, Paolo Avelino, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Nonie Buencamino, Aicelle Santos, Cris Villonco, and Robert Arevalo among many others.
The film has gotten a grade of “A” from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB), saying, “It is seldom and rare that the members of the Board give a unanimous A to a film.”
