Theater and film fans have been counting down to the official public screening of Ang Larawan, the highly-anticipated film adaptation based on National Artist Nick Joaquin’s book,  “A Portrait of the Artist as Filipino.” Audiences can watch the film in cinemas nationwide beginning December 25th as part of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

In this new music video, leads Joanna Ampil, who plays older sister Candida, and Rachel Alejandro, who plays younger sister Paula, sing a duet of one of the movie-musical’s most popular songs, “Kay Sarap ng Buhay Noong Araw.” The music was written by Ryan Cayabyab with lyrics by National Artist Rolando Tinio.

Ang Larawan is set in Intramuros before WWII, focusing on the plight of unmarried sisters Candida and Paula Marasigan. They play the daughters of high-profile painter Don Lorenzo Marasigan.
