There are 2 university-based productions that you can watch this July. From Intramuros to Baguio City, here are the shows in chronological order.

1. Ang Goldfish ni Prof Dimaandal by Tanghalang SLU (Baguio)

Eljay Castro Deldoc’s Ang Goldfish ni Prof Dimaandal is Tanghalang SLU’s closing production for its 24th season.

The play is directed by Katherine Nobleza and will run on July 7, 7pm and July 8, 3pm and 6pm at the SLU Waldo Perfecto P700. Tickets are free.

2. Trahe de Boda by Tanghalang Batingaw

Does a woman’s life only revolve around getting married, giving birth, and building a family? Must there be only one road to take?

Trahe de Boda is about the life of a woman in the 1940s who is confined in the social and religious system. Apart from the bloody battles that exist outside, it has an even heavier war to face; like most, her only desire – to be free.

The play is written by Kizabelle Aromin and directed by Shaidomar Laco. It will run from July 14-15, 1pm and 4pm, at the LPU JPL Hall of Freedom.

Tickets are P100 for Lyceans and P150 for Non-Lyceans.
