While stuck at home during community quarantine, what better way to while away the days than by watching high-quality theater productions from the comfort of your couch?

For a limited time only, BroadwayHD is offering a free 7-day trial of its services such as access to an extensive library of productions from Broadway, the West End, and other venues around the world. These include musicals like An American in Paris, Oklahoma!, Kiss Me Kate, She Loves Me, and Jekyll and Hyde; straight plays like Long Day’s Journey into Night, Incident at Vichy, and Shakespearean productions like King Lear, Macbeth, and Othello.

Founded in 2015, BroadwayHD is a streaming service for theater fans that was, according to a company statement, “created with the goal of making high-quality theater accessible to everyone globally.” The service is always ad-free and the shows can be streamed from any device. The platform also offers a $ 8.99 monthly plan should you wish to continue streaming shows beyond the free trial.

According to a report by Insider, the company will also be curating two new playlists:

  • A Women’s History Month playlist featuring an all-female Shakespeare Trilogy (Henry IV, Julius Caesar, and The Tempest) and works like Lady Day Emerson’s Bar and Grill, A Night with Janis Joplin, Ann, Driving Miss Daisy, and other works by female theater-makers.
  • A tribute to theater legends Stephen Sondheim for his 90th and Andrew Lloyd Webber for his 72nd birthday with performances from their most beloved productions including Gypsy, Putting It Together, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, and many more.

Check out the BroadwayHD website for more information on their extensive library of shows and start streaming the theater at home.
