WATCH: Aaron Tveit Performs Moulin Rouge’s ‘Come What May’

Broadway star Aaron Tveit will be playing Christian in the upcoming production, ‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical’, based on the 2001 movie by Baz Luhrmann.

‘Moulin Rouge!’ tells the story of Christian, a young English poet/writer who falls in love with Satine, a cabaret actress, courtesan and the star of the Moulin Rouge. The film was nominiated for 8 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Nicole Kidman (Satine).

Before heading to Broadway, the musical will be having a 36-performance run from June 27 through August 5 at Boston’s Colonial Theatre. The production will be directed by Alex Timbers, with a book by John Logan, music supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements by Justin Levine, and choreography by Sonya Tayeh.

Besides Tveit, the musical also stars Karen Olivo as Satine and Danny Burstein as Zidler.
