According to an exclusive feature by Deadline, Jonathan Larson’s ‘Tick, Tick… Boom!’ will be heading to the big screen. Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda will be making his film directorial debut with this adaptation, and Dear Evan Hansen’s book writer Steven Levenson will be writing the screen adaptation.

‘Tick, tick… BOOM!’ is an autobiographical musical by the late Jonathan Larson, the Tony Award–winning composer of Rent. It is the story of an aspiring composer who questions his life choices on the eve of his thirtieth birthday. Lin-Manuel Miranda himself starred in an Off-Broadway production of the musical himself, together with fellow Tony Award winners Leslie Odom, Jr. and Karen Olivo in 2014.

You can watch the three of them perform excerpts from the Off-Broadway production in the dress rehearsal video below!
