Previews have officially begun for The West End’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child!

The first picture of the stage was posted on the show’s Facebook page 16 hours ago.

As previously announced, the play will be performed in two parts. According to The Daily Beast,

“Harry’s denouement, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, is so epic that it will be performed in two parts. Part I played to a paying audience for the first time on Tuesday and induced squeals, gasps, and laughter, according to the Harry Potter super fans who secured tickets. They will have to wait until Thursday to see the second 2 1/2-hour show.”

Fans will get a kick out of how the play begins as it starts with the last scene of the books and films.

“…Harry Potter is on Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross station in London, waving his son Albus off to Hogwarts for the first time.”

Fans talk to the media outlet about unexpected plot twists that made them feel pleasantly shocked. However, they will not be divulging these details any time soon, especially after Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s video message on the show’s Facebook page. #KeepTheSecrets.

“You’ve been amazing for years at keeping Harry Potter secrets so you didn’t spoil the books for readers who came after you. So I’m asking you one more time to keep the secrets and let audiences enjoy ‘Cursed Child’ with the surprises that we’ve built into the story. Thank you.”

First pictures of the cast photos were also released a few days ago.
