‘Ang Huling El Bimbo’ 2023 Full Cast Announced

Full House Theater Company’s (FHTC) Ang Huling El Bimbo is officially returning to the stage starting April 2023 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Newport World Resorts (previously known as Resorts World Manila).

After 4 years, the musical production is coming back with new and returning cast members. Gab Pangilinan, Gian Magdangal, and Topper Fabregas are set to reprise their lead roles as Young Joy, Hector, and Young Anthony respectively.

Joining them are new cast members, theater actor and The Voice finalist Nino Alejandro (Anthony), Indie folk artist Bullet Dumas (Emman), GMA-7’s The Clash grand finalist Anthony Rosaldo (Young Hector), Gawad Buhay Award-winning theater actor Paw Castillo (Young Emman), and professional voice teacher Katrine Sunga (Joy).

Also in the cast are Anna Francesca Quimno, Natasha Cabrera, Miah Canton, Teetin Villanueva, Julia Santiago, Kalaylah Villanueva, Cara Barredo, Liway Perez, Abi Sulit, and Mica Fajardo as members of the female ensemble, and Red Nuestro, Jasper Jimenez, Stephen Viñas, Jules Dela Paz, Mark Anthony Grantos, Gie Onida, Jordan Andrews, Joshua Bajado, Francis Gatmaytan, Rofe Villarino, Eduardson Evangelio, Emmerson Evangelio, Rapah Manalo, Jep Go, and Fritz Esase as members of the male ensemble. Sheila Francisco and Jamie Wilson also return as Tiya Dely and Arturo Banlaoi.

Initially opening in July 2018, the production has had three runs at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT), with the most recent run closing in August 2019. In 2020, a recorded 2019 performance was made available for streaming on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s social pages. The streaming event raised more than Php 12 million in donations for ABS-CBN Foundation and garnered 7 million views in 48 hours. A concert version entitled Ang Muling El Bimbo was also staged at NPAT last December 10 and 11, 2021.

Set to the music of 90’s band The Eraserheads, the show is written by Dingdong Novenario, with musical direction and musical arrangements by Myke Salomon, additional scenes and dialogue by Floy Quintos, set design by Gino Gonzales, lighting design by Monino Duque, projection design by GA Fallarme, sound design by Rards Corpus, costume design by Marlon Rivera, and direction and choreography by Dexter M. Santos.
