WATCH: These Theater Actors Made a ‘Hamilton’ Fan Video
Hamilton hype is in the air, and no, we do not need reminding that Disney+ has yet to come to our shores.
Besides DIY-ing our own Hamilton experience, watching this video performed by our theater artists has helped counter some major FOMO.
The cast, featuring Reb Atadero, Gab Pangilinan, Bibo Reyes, Nino Alejandro, Gian Magdangal, Kayla Rivera, Jef Flores, Kiara Dario, and Joshua Cabiladas, perform the song Alexander Hamilton, alongside multimedia puppetry. The video is created and edited by Stephen Viñas.
A filmed version of the original Broadway cast’s performance of Hamilton premiered on Disney+ last July 3, 2020. The cast features Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda in the titular role, Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton, Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr, Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler, Christopher Jackson as George Washington, Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette / Thomas Jefferson, Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan / James Madison, Anthony Ramos as John Laurens / Philip Hamilton, Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler / Maria Reynolds, and Jonathan Groff as King George III.
The show opened on August 6, 2015 on Broadway and won 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score for Miranda.
