PETA’s Walang Aray is set to return to the PETA Theater Center for a limited 3-weekend run this October.

Rody Vera’s Walang Aray, an irreverent reimagining of Severino Reyes’ classic zarzuela Walang Sugat, will be running from October 6 to 22, 2023. It ran earlier this year from February 17 to May 14 for a total of 41 shows. The show is directed by Ian Segarra, with music by Vince Lim.

Lead actors Marynor Madamesila, Gio Gahol (who also serves as choreographer), Shaira Opsimar, and Jon Abella will be returning to play the star-crossed lovers, Tenyong and Julia. Also reprising their roles are Jarred Jaicten and Bene Manaois as Miguel, Kiki Baento as Monica, Carlon Matobato as Lucas, Norbs Portales and Csai Habla as Don Tadeo, Neomi Gonzales as Doña Juana, and John Moran as Padre Alfaro.

Also returning are ensemble cast members Donn Boco, Gerard Dy, Yeyin Dela Cruz, Ada Tayao, and Ayla Garcia.

Walang Aray was chosen to launch PETA’s comeback and cap the company’s emerald year after waiting in the wings since its first laboratory performances in 2018 and 2019.

Tickets are available via TicketWorld starting August 6, 2023.
