The Sound of Music features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, based on The Trapp Family Singers by Maria Augusta Trapp.

The Sound of Music will be brought to Manila through partnership with GMG Productions. The Sound of Music was previously staged in Manila in 2017 with local theater actors taking on the role of the Von Trapp kids.
