JOEL TRINIDAD, Concept and Direction

As an actor, Aliw Awardee Joel Trinidad has appeared in shows like Love/Sick, The Horse And His Boy; The Bluebird Of Happiness, The Producers, Defending the Caveman, Spelling Bee, and Avenue Q, among many others. He’s directed numerous shows, too, like Into The Woods, Much Ado About Nothing, Forbidden Broadway, and his own musicals Breakups & Breakdowns (music by Rony Fortich), Fairy Tale Rescue, and Close Engkantos of the Christmas Kind (music by Onyl Torres and Regie Tan). He is currently producing and directing a show, finishing two novels, and creating four new musicals, because he is mildly insane.

NICKY TRIVIÑO, Assistant Director

As a performer, Nicky Triviño has appeared in Love/Sick (Upstart), Sandosenang Sapatos (Tanghalang Pilipino), Into The Woods (Upstart), Cinderella (Resorts World Manila), The Wizard of Oz (Repertory Philippines), among many other shows. She has also directed, co-directed, or assistant-directed such projects as the aforementioned Love/Sick, Gruesome Playground Injuries (Upstart), and The Cab Ride (Astrosininglaya), along with several workshops, showcases, and special events. Her next major project is co-directing the Philippine premiere of Monty Python’s Spamalot (Upstart), opening on July 28, 2017. Nicky is currently developing, with composer Rony Fortich, an original musical about Pre-Hispanic Philippines.

Sixteen Bars is a performing arts education company whose goal is to provide the needs of developing theatre practitioners in Metro Manila. Our services mainly consist of master classes, workshops and various other events geared towards artistic training and comprehensive education in music, acting, dance, and writing.

Staple and Perk Bakery started out as a commissary supplying breads and pastries to restaurants and hotels in Metro Manila. With the opening of its first 24-hour shop in Ecoplaza Buliding in Makati, Staple and Perk Bakery has been serving meals, coffee, breads and pastries to the people of Pasong Tamo Ext. Apart from being a cafe bakery, Staple and Perk Bakery acts as a venue for various art performances and events.
