‘Side Show’ by The Sandbox Collective Coming in July 2025
After staging Next to Normal in February, The Sandbox Collective has announced its second production for 2025—Side Show, set to run this July at the Power Mac Center Spotlight, Circuit Makati.
Side Show is a Broadway musical with a book and lyrics by Bill Russell and music by Henry Krieger. Inspired by the true story of conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, who became vaudeville stars in the 1920s and 1930s, the musical premiered on Broadway in 1997 and was nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The production will be directed by the company’s Artistic Director Toff de Venecia, with musical direction by Ejay Yatco. Casting as well as ticketing details will be announced soon.
A Philippine production of Side Show was previously staged by Atlantis Theatrical in 2018, starring Gab Pangilinan and Kayla Rivera.
