PETA’s ‘Walang Aray’ Musical Full Cast Announced
As previously reported, PETA is returning to the live stage starting February 2023 with its new musical Walang Aray, written by Rody Vera with music by Vince Lim, based on Severino Reyes’ Walang Sugat.
The cast will be led by PBB’s Alexa Ilacad and KD Estrada, who alternates with Marynor Madamesila and Gio Gahol as Julia and Tenyong.
They will be joined by Jarred Jaicten as Miguel, Kiks Baento as Monica, Carlon Matobato as Lucas, Gie Onida and Norbs Portales as Don Tadeo, Neomi Gonzales as Juana, John Moran as Padre Alfaro, and Tom Bienvenida, Donn Boco, Gerard Dy, Yeyin Dela Cruz, Ada Marie Tayao, and Ayla Garcia as members of the ensemble. Csai Habla and Gardo Exconde are cast as the swings.
Directed by Ian Segarra, the musical mashes the classic with contemporary language, funk and pop tunes, and tongue-in-cheek humor. Walang Aray will run at the PETA-Phinma Theater, PETA Theater Center, New Manila, Quezon City from February 17 to May 14, 2023.
