‘One More Chance’ Musical with Music by Ben&Ben Coming in 2024
At tonight’s closing show curtain call of PETA’s Walang Aray, the company has just announced that its next musical is a stage adaptation of the Star Cinema film One More Chance, which stars John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo as Popoy and Basha. The music will be by none other than OPM band Ben&Ben.
Ben&Ben themselves surprised the audience and performed two of their songs– Kathang Isip and Araw-Araw at the curtain call. The musical adaptation will open on April 2024 at the PETA Theater Center, serving as the company’s season ender.
One More Chance follows two college sweethearts who face the challenges of adult life and relationships. The story revolves around their tumultuous romantic journey, including their struggles, conflicts, and eventual breakup. The film explores themes of love, heartbreak, second chances, and personal growth.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, the film was released in November 14, 2007, which was followed by a sequel entitled A Second Chance, released in November 2015.
