Now Streaming: ‘The Little Mermaid’ Live Action is Online
Disney’s live action remake of The Little Mermaid is now streaming on Netflix!
The 2023 musical film, which was released in Philippine cinemas last May 24, 2023, stars Halle Bailey as Ariel. She is joined by Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Daveed Diggs as the voice of Sebastian, Awkwafina as the voice of Scuttle, Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Flounder, Noma Dumezweni as Queen Selina, Art Malik as Sir Grimsby, Javier Bardem as King Triton, and Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.
The Little Mermaid follows Ariel, a young mermaid who dreams of experiencing life on land. When she makes a daring deal with the sea witch Ursula, Ariel embarks on an adventure that will test her courage, love, and determination to be part of two different worlds.
The film is directed by Rob Marshall, with a screenplay by David Magee. The songs feature music from Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman, and new lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. The film is produced by Marc Platt, Miranda, John DeLuca, and Rob Marshall, with Jeffrey Silver serving as executive producer.
