‘Napapanahon’, ‘CoR’ Twin Bill to be Staged in June 2025
The Playbook Club (PBC) returns to the stage this June for a limited run with the staging of Napapanahon and CoR (Commission on Relationships) at The Mirror Studios, SJG Centre, Kalayaan Ave., Makati.
A twin bill written by Rafael Jimenez, both plays explore different kinds of young love and how the world (and those in power) can come between young people and their aspirations. The plays reflect on questions about love and how to find the light in a world growing dimmer.
Napapanahon
One week before her wedding, Ruby Versoza defies the odds for a chance to speak to her ex-high school sweetheart one last time.
CoR (Commission on Relationships)
In a not-so-distant future where the government imposes a hefty tax on romantic relationships, Lau and Luna navigate a Philippines that outlaws unregistered relationships.
PBC is a grassroots production house of artists and actors staging theater productions, producing short films, and hosting weekly script reading nights. Alongside managing their talent pool, they also provide casting services for films, music videos, theater productions, and advertisements/TV commercials. Their most recent production was the sold-out 2023 run of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Nelsito Gomez with an all-female cast.
Casting and other details have yet to be announced. Ticket sales begin this April.
