Mamma Mia Sequel Coming in 2018

Universal Pictures has announced a sequel to the 2008 film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Mamma Mia. Titled “Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again”, the film is slated for release on July 20, 2018.

The movie will feature ABBA songs not included in the first film, as well as some classic favorites. The original cast of Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfriend, Peirce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Julie Walters, and Christine Baranski are all reportedly set to reprise their roles, with new additions joining the line-up as well.
Two of ABBA’s original members, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, will serve as the movie’s executive producers.
