
‘Makara The Musical’ Comes to the Proscenium Theater this May
Studio A Productions is set to stage Makara The Musical at the Proscenium Theater, Rockwell Center, for two shows only on May 23 and 24 at 7:30 PM.
The show previously ran in April of this year, with two shows at Studio A Productions Main Theater in Pasig and two more at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium at RCBC Plaza.

Makara follows the story of a woman crowned with living serpents whose gaze turns the living into stone. As fear spreads across the town, stories are whispered, courage is tested, and a legend slowly comes to life onstage.
The cast features Cherry Morena as Makara, Abbey Romero as Seraphyra, Eunice Somintac as Haliya, Cary Faith Rodolfo as Vivi, Jeremy Manite as Sethran, Nicollo Salino Gutierrez as Jory, Rea Farrah Era as Sonya, Primitivo Moscare Jr. as Dahlia, Jimson Charl Buenagua as Drako, Aina Rhycel Salazar as Young Makara, Japee Cagalanan as Tavian, Chloe Jackson as Young Haliya, and Emi Felix as Neraya.
The creative team includes Jef Albea (director), Danna Bernardino (writer and producer), Joash Caalem (assistant director), Primitivo Moscare Jr. (vocal coach), Rea Farrah Era (acting coach), Ron Ferrer (musical arranger), Janet Subito (costume mistress), and Mark Albea and Sandino Asuzano (lighting designers).
Over the past two years, Studio A Productions has staged original productions including Tulog Na, Gising Na, Salve, Bisita, Tagabantay, Sigbin, Ang Pangalawang Bisita, and Kaning Itim across multiple runs and venue engagements.
Tickets are priced at ₱5,000 for Gorgon’s Circle (VIP), ₱4,500 for Serpent’s Circle and Petrifier’s Seat, ₱4,000 for Serpent’s Coil, ₱3,500 for Stonebound Row, ₱3,000 for Venomous Shed, ₱2,500 for Mortal’s Row, and ₱2,000 for Stone Gazed, and are available through the Studio A Productions website.
