A new show, described as an “online musical” about pandemic emotions and dedicated to all pandemic frontliners is set to stream.

Made up of original songs by Filipino artists, the show ‘M-FLIX: Da Pinoy Pandemic Palabas’ will reimagine the online musical format and feature performances as well as short verse and animation.

Consisting of 12 original songs, each are hooked on emotional ‘pillars’ of gulat, takot, pagka-gipit, malikhaing pagtugon, pangamba, pagtuklas, malasakit, pananagutan, pag-alala, pasasalamat, pagbangon, and pagmumuni that we’ve all felt during the pandemic.

Video editing and direction by Stephen Viñas with over-all story and script in animation by Maria Isabel Garcia, with animations by Aidon Panlaqui. This project is a collaboration by the Bonifacio Art Foundation Inc and the Pinoy Playlist Music Festival curated by National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab, Moy Ortiz, and Noel Ferrer, and co-presented by the Sun Life Foundation.

Along with Cayabyab and Ortiz, other Filipino songwriters that contributed to this project are Louie Ocampo, Ogie Alcasid, Joey Ayala, Davey Langit, Edith Gallardo, Krina Cayabyab, Jude Gitamondoc, and Manoling Francisco.

The performers include Ogie Alcasid, Joanna Ampil, Nicole Asensio, Joey Ayala, Mark Bautista, Bukas Palad Choir, Bituin Escalante, Klarisse de Guzman, Rony Fortich, The Itchyworms, Davey Langit, Jed Madela, Morisette, Tim Pavino, Pinopela, The Company, Basil Valdez and Raki Vega.

The show is in two acts. Act 2 will premiere  on Nov 13 at 7:00 P.M., on the MIND S-COOL YouTube Channel.
