‘Lungs’ 2023 Full Cast Announced
The Sandbox Collective has just announced the full cast for its upcoming run of Duncan Macmillan’s Lungs!
The 2023 run will feature two sets of casts for the two-hander– Sab Jose and Reb Atadero, and Justine Peña and Brian Sy. It will be directed by Caisa Borromeo.
The company last staged the play in 2018 with Jose and Jake Cuenca, who alternated with Gabs Santos, under the direction of Andrei Pamintuan. It was slated to run in 2020 but was unfortunately unable to push through because of the lockdown.
The story follows a couple who engages with questions about babies, love, sex, betrayal, and change in one unbroken conversation that spans decades.
As previously reported, Lungs will be staged as a twin bill with Macmillan’s one-woman show, Every Brilliant Thing. The production will run from June 17 to July 15 at the Zobel de Ayala Recital Hall of the Maybank Performing Arts Theater in BGC.
