Kakki Teodoro won the Gawad Urian Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Isang Himala. The award was announced on October 11, 2025, at the Teresa Yuchengco Auditorium, De La Salle University.

Teodoro plays Nimia in Isang Himala, a role she first portrayed on stage. Her win follows her Best Supporting Actress award at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for the same role—making this her second major recognition for the performance.

Isang Himala is directed by Pepe Diokno, written by Ricky Lee, and features music by Vincent A. DeJesus. The film is an adaptation of the 2018–2019 stage musical Himala: Isang Musikal, produced by The Sandbox Collective and 9 Works Theatrical, directed by Ed Lacson Jr., with music by DeJesus. The musical was itself based on the 1982 classic film Himala, also written by Lee and directed by National Artist Ishmael Bernal.

The film reunites several members of the original stage cast: Kakki Teodoro as Nimia, Aicelle Santos as Elsa, Bituin Escalante as Aling Saling, David Ezra as Orly, Neomi Gonzales as Chayong, Vic Robinson as Pilo, and Floyd Tena as Pari.

Reminiscent of her 2024 MMFF speech, where she said, “Ako po si Kakki Teodoro. Ako po ay 37 years old. Ako po ay mula sa mundo ng teatro,” she began her Gawad Urian speech with similar humility and emotion:

“Magandang hapon po. Ako po si Kakki Teodoro. Ako po ay 38 years old. Ako po ay mula sa mundo ng teatro. Ngayon ay nasa pelikula na. May Gawad Urian pa.”

Teodoro shared that she rode an Angkas to the ceremony between her matinee and evening performances of Tanghalang Pilipino’s Pingkian: Isang Musikal, where she plays Jose Rizal. The production is currently running at the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez, with its final show scheduled at 3 p.m. today.
