In response to public clamor, Isang Harding Papel: A Martial Law Musical will be restaged this February 10, 2017 at 2PM and 6PM at the AFP Theatre.
About the Show
Isang Harding Papel tells the story of Martial Law through the eyes of Jenny, a young girl who regularly visits her mother, a political prisoner, in jail. The musical presents a childhood defined and redefined in trying times, and depicts how love and family triumph over darkness.
The musical is adapted from the Adarna House children’s book of the same name written by Augie Rivera and illustrated by Rommel Joson. It was written for stage by Nanoy Rafael and set to music by Thea Tolentino. Boni Juan is the production designer for the restaging, directed by Nor Domingo.
Isang Harding Papel: A Martial Law Musical is part of Hinabing Haraya, the annual theatrical production of Raya School, a progressive school in Quezon City. Tickets are priced at P600 (orchestra) and P400 (balcony), with discounts for bulk purchases. Testimonies
