‘Game of Thrones’ Stage Play In the Works

Game of Thrones stage production is currently in the works, according to Deadline.

It is being written and adapted by Duncan MacMillan, who is working alongside Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin. Audiences in Manila have most recently seen two works by MacMillan through the Sandbox Fest 2020, where producing company The Sandbox Collective re-staged its productions of Lungs and Every Brilliant Thing right before the first ECQ lockdown was announced.

Producers Simon Painter, Tim Lawson and Jonathan Sanford hope to bring the show to Broadway, to the West End, and to Australia in 2023, to be directed by Dominic Cooke. Casting and other details have yet to be announced.
