Infinite Cantina returns this April with a new play entitled Saglit Lang, written by the company’s founder, BJ Crisostomo.

Saglit Lang tells the story of a child fleeing a violent reality and finding temporary shelter inside an abandoned theater. In this seemingly silent and lifeless space, the child encounters a Maestro, a guide who opens the door to the magic of theater. Through the exploration of moments from various classic dramatic texts alongside the Maestro, the child comes to realize the life-giving flame that theater ignites in those who seek to understand humanity in all its pain and joy.

The company says the play “is a testament to how art can become our greatest comfort and push toward growth.”

“Theater is both a reflection of our reality and a torch for our voices. With this as the foundation for the play, the show aims to share the power of transformation, light, and hope that theater can bring to audiences and artists alike.”

Saglit Lang stars Ron Capinding as the Maestro and Rico del Rosario and BJ Crisostomo as Bata.

Leading the creative team is Anton Juan, who serves as director. Joining him are Irene Romero (lighting design), Lawyn Cruz (set design), Santi Obcena (costume design), Kyle Confesor (sound design), and Juls Castro (projection design).

Saglit Lang will have a limited two-weekend run on April 17–19 and 24–26, 2026, at the 5F The Mirror Studio Theater in Makati. Shows will be staged at 8 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 PM on Sundays. Tickets cost P800 and may be purchased via the group’s Google Form. For ticket inquiries, email [email protected].

Founded in 2024 by BJ Crisostomo, Infinite Cantina champions new stories and bold storytelling. At its core is a belief in radical kindness and optimism: the idea that even the tiniest change can make a lasting impact on our communities. The company staged their first two productions, Umbilical and Ad Infinitum: Two Plays in Memoriam, in 2025.
