The Cadds bring their shared stage history to an intimate concert evening built primarily around musical theater repertoire, with select pop songs woven in to reflect milestones in their journey together.
Both were cast members in GMG Productions’ staging of Come From Away last year. Since returning to the Philippines in 2024, Mayen Bustamante-Cadd has remained very active onstage, playing the Queen of Hearts in Repertory Philippines’ Alice in Wonderland, Val in Theatre Titas’ Let’s Do Lunch as part of the twin bill Dedma, and Em in REP’s Going Home to Christmas: A Jose Mari Chan Musical. She was also part of CAST PH’s recently concluded staged readings and currently plays Ditas in Newport World Resorts’ Bagets The Musical.
As Christian missionaries and artists, the couple have traveled the world together, teaching filmmaking and acting in Nepal and Myanmar, working in the movie industry in the UAE, and spending time in the US and UK raising support for their missions and church projects. Over the years, they have called Manila, Oregon, Abu Dhabi, and Olongapo home at different points—yet they’ve remained the well-loved “Cadds” of Philippine theater throughout their journey.
Joining them as special guests are real-life couple Sam Sewell and Chino Veguillas. Sewell, currently the executive producer of GMG Productions, returns to perform for one night only after her last stage performance 15 years ago, while Veguillas, most recently seen in Bar Boys: The Musical and Come From Away, is a theater actor, competitive martial arts athlete, and coach.
Still in Love – with Steve & Mayen Cadd will be held on February 26 at 8 PM at District One Gastrolounge, BGC. The show is directed by Sweet Plantado-Tiongson, with musical direction by Farley Asuncion.
