In partnership with FlipMusic Productions Inc., the live cast recording of Tanghalang Pilipino’s Pingkian: Isang Musikal from its 2024 run is now available on all digital streaming platforms! Its release comes just three days before the musical returns to the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez for its 2025 run.

Even before the show’s debut performance on March 1, 2024, the company had already released a cast album with select cast members and guest artists, each taking on multiple roles. This new release, however, features the full cast in performance, capturing the energy and immediacy of the stage production. Similar to Barefoot Theatre Collaborative’s Mula sa Buwan live cast album in 2024, it preserves the atmosphere of a complete live performance.

The album consists of 23 tracks, including the curtain call, and features Vic Robinson as Emilio Jacinto/Pingkian, Gab Pangilinan as Catalina de Jesus/Florencio Reyes, Bituin Escalante as Josefa Dizon, Kakki Teodoro as Jose Rizal, Paw Castillo as Andres Bonifacio, Almond Bolante as Pio Valenzuela, Joshua Cadeliña as Lucio/Isyo, and Marco Viaña as Duktor.

Also in the cast recording are Chan Rabutazo, VJ Cortel, Roby Malubay, Jude Hinumdum, Paula Paguio, Roxy Aldiosa, Jam Binay, Laui Guico, EJ Pepito, Jonathan Tadioan, Lhorvie Nuevo-Tadioan, Mark Lorenz, Sarah Monay, and Edrick Alcontado as members of the ensemble.

The live cast recording is now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, and Deezer.

Pingkian: Isang Musikal is a full-length musical that follows the journey of Emilio Jacinto, the “Brains of the Katipunan” — a young revolutionary who navigates the complexities of leadership during the final years of the Philippine Revolution and the beginning of the Philippine-American War.

The musical is written by Juan Ekis, with music by Ejay Yatco, and direction by Jenny Jamora. Jomelle Era serves as choreographer, with Carlo Villafuerte Pagunaling as production designer, D Cortezano as lighting designer, GA Fallarme as projection designer, JM Jimenez as associate projection designer, and TJ Ramos as sound designer and sound engineer, with Jan Levi Sanchez as sound engineer for backing tracks. Kat Batara serves as assistant director and dramaturg, Kiefer Sison as technical director, and Rafa Sumilong as assistant lighting designer.

The show will run Fridays to Sundays, from September 12 to October 12, at the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez. Tickets are priced at P2,000 (VIP) and P1,800 (Regular), and are available via Ticket2Me and Ticketworld.
