WATCH: 3 Songs from ‘Bar Boys: A New Musical’ are Now Online

As of noon time today, Barefoot Theatre Collaborative has released three original songs from Bar Boys: A New Musical, written by Myke Salomon (music, co-lyricist, and musical director) and Pat Valera (co-lyricist, playwright, and co-director).

The three songs are entitled Cross the Line, May Singil Ang Pangarap, and Dear Future Lawyers, with the latter featuring Sheila Francisco as Justice Hernandez.

The cast is led by the four titular bar boys– Alex Diaz as Chris, Benedix Ramos as Erik, Jerom Canlas as Torran, and Omar Uddin as Josh.

Joining them are Sheila Francisco as Justice Hernandez, Juliene Mendoza as “Paping,” Nor Domingo as Atty. Maurice Carlson, Topper Fabregas as Atty. Victor Cruz, Gimbey dela Cruz as “Boss Mama” and other roles, Kakki Teodoro as Female Professor and other roles, and Carlon Matabato as Male Professor and other roles.

Completing the cast are Diego Aranda, Joshua Ade Valenzona, Edrei Tan, Jannah Baniasia, Anne Cortez, Uzziel Delamide, and Meg Ruiz.

Based on Kip F. Oebanda 2017 film, Bar Boys: A New Musical follows the life of four friends and their journey to become defenders of justice in the Philippines. Joining Valera and Salomon in the creative team are Mikko Angeles (co-director), Jomelle Era (choreographer), Ohm David (set designer), Meliton Roxas Jr. (lighting designer), Tata Tuviera (costume designer), Bene Manaois (video designer), Julia Pacificador (property designer), and D Cortezano (technical director).

The show will run from May 3 to 19 at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater, Circuit Makati. Tickets are available through Ticket2Me.
