Now Streaming: Disney’s ‘Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl’ is Online
A special concert starring the original voice cast of Encanto performing their songs from the award-winning animated musical is now streaming on Disney+.
Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl features all the beloved songs from the film sung by those who gave voice to the members of the magical Madrigal family. These are Stephanie Beatriz (Mirabel), John Leguizamo (Bruno), María Cecilia Botero (Abuela Alma), Wilmer Valderrama (Agustin), Adassa (Dolores), Diane Guerrero (Isabela), Mauro Castillo (Félix), Angie Cepeda (Julieta), Jessica Darrow (Luisa), Rhenzy Feliz (Camilo), Carolina Gaitan (Pepa), Ravi Cabot-Conyers (Antonio), and Maluma (Mariano Guzman).
The concert also features performances from Latin American musical legend Carlos Vives and Grammy-winning Andrés Cepeda and the special appearance of the film’s songwriter, Broadway legend Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Encanto is the tale of the Madrigals, an exceptional and magical family, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia. All the members of their family are blessed with unique magical powers except for 15-year old Mirabel who’s struggling to find her place among her loved ones. When a mysterious force threatens the Madrigals’ magic, it is up to Mirabel to save them all.
The film is directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush, co-directed and co-written by Charise Castro Smith, and produced by Clark Spencer and Yvett Merino. The screenplay was written by Bush and Castro Smith.
Miranda wrote the songs of the film: “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” “The Family Madrigal,” “What Else Can I Do?”, “Surface Pressure,” “Waiting on a Miracle,” “All of You,” “Dos Oruguitas,” and “Colombia, Mi Encanto.”
