Pop Jukebox Musical ‘& Juliet’ is Heading to Broadway
What would have happened if Juliet had survived her tragic love story? That’s what the jukebox musical, & Juliet, is all about and the show explores this “what if” scenario against the backdrop of some of the most popular songs of recent memory.
The musical features a book by David West Read (Schitt’s Creek) and songs such as Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone,” Katy Perry’s “Roar,” Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time,” the Backstreet Boys’ “Larger Than Life,” Celine Dion’s “That’s The Way It Is” and Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”
The show has been playing in the West End since 2019 and is currently playing in Toronto. But it is now destined for Broadway. According to The Hollywood Reporter, & Juliet will begin previews at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Oct. 28, ahead of premiering on Nov. 17.
The production will be directed by Luke Sheppard and choreographed by Jennifer Weber. The production is produced on Broadway by Martin, Tim Headington, Theresa Steele Page, Jenny Petersson, Martin Dodd and Eva Price.
