A university production will be streaming online, while another will be staged with a live audience TOMORROW! Yes, you read that right.

1. Ruis and Llano’s Quest by Teatro Rizal

Teatro Rizal will be performing an original musical entitled Ruis and Llano’s Quest with a live audience at the Open Air Auditorium at the Luneta Park tomorrow, April 2, 2022. It is written and directed by Mr. Ephraim Jay D. Villafania, with original music by John Kenneth Dael. The show will begin at 6pm. Gates will open at 5:30pm.

Heroes are the products of circumstances and choices. The Philippine Day of Valor commemorates how Filipino forces stood against the invading forces. More than that, Valor has been defined by how young people choose to fight for the country. In this historical-fiction musical, audiences will witness how the ROTC Hunters, a group of college students, trade their youth for the future of the Philippines. This is a story of love, heroism, adventure, and coming home.

2. Bago Dumilim sa Labas by SiLAB Productions

Sining LABinsiyam (SiLAB) will be staging their second original fully-online production Bago Dumilim sa Labas, a short film that tells the narrative of two siblings, a freelance artist and a medical frontliner, striving to live through the COVID-19 pandemic while their mother is in a critical state in the hospital. The show will stream from April 6 to 13, 2022, available to view from 11:00AM to 11:00PM.

SiLAB is a production house under De La Salle- College of St. Benilde’s Theater Arts Program formed in May 2021 by a group of batch 119 student-artists practicing theater production.
