WATCH: ‘Schmigadoon’ TV Musical Trailer is Out
Schmigadoon, the previously announced Apple TV+ exclusive musical comedy series will be available for streaming starting July 16.
The series follows a couple who goes on a backpacking trip to reinvigorate their relationship. They stumble upon a magical town called Schmigadoon with its people acting as if they are in a 1940’s musical. The couple then discovers that they can’t leave until they find ‘true love’.
The series is executive produced by Lorne Michaels and stars Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key.
The first season of this six-episode series will also feature Broadway stars Alan Cumming, Kristin Chenoweth, Aaron Tveit, Dove Cameron, Ariana DeBose, and Jane Krakowski. Other members of the cast are Fred Armisen, Jaime Camil, and Ann Harada.
Schmigadoon will premiere its first two episodes starting on July 16 exclusively on Apple TV+, with one episode airing every Friday.
