WATCH: ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ Official Movie Trailer is Out!
The film adaptation of the Broadway musical has released its trailer!
Directed by Stephen Chbosky, with a screenplay by Steven Levenson, the same person wrote the book for the original Broadway musical. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who won the Tony for Best Original Score, return to provide music and lyrics for the film. Starring Ben Platt (who won a Tony for this same role), Kaitlyn Dever, Amy Adams, Julianne Moore, and more.
Dear Evan Hansen follows the story of a young man struggling with social anxiety and who gets unintentionally caught up in an elaborate deception when the family of a classmate who committed suicide mistakes one of Hansen’s letters as their son’s suicide note.
It will premiere on September 24 in US cinemas.
