A sequel to the 1987 romantic drama, Dirty Dancing, is currently in the works.

According to a report by Deadline, Lionsgate Films CEO Jon Feltheimer confirmed that the original star of the film, Jennifer Grey, will be starring and executive producing a new Dirty Dancing movie.

The project will be directed by Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies) with Gillian Bohrer and the screenplay will be written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis (Five Feet Apart, The Curse of La Llorona.) No further details have been released about the cast or plot of the sequel.

The original Dirty Dancing premiered in 1987 and starred Grey and the late Patrick Swayze in the lead roles. The film told the story of Frances “Baby” Houseman, a young woman who falls in love with Johnny Castle, a dance instructor, during a holiday with her family. The movie would gross $218 million at the box office.

Dirty Dancing won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for the original song “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” written by Frank Previte, John DeNicola, and Donald Markowitz and performed by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. The film was also nominated for several Golden Globes including Best Picture – Comedy/Musical, Best Actress for Grey and Best Actor for Swayze.

A prequel film was released in 2004 entitled Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, starring Romola Garai and Diego Luna. A three-hour musical remake was also released in 2015 starring Abigail Breslin, Colt Prattes, Debra Messing, Sarah Hyland, Nicole Scherzinger, Billy Dee Williams, and Shane Harper.
