WATCH: A Quick Minute with Myke Salomon
Myke Salomon is returning as musical director in Trumpets’ upcoming production of Joseph the Dreamer, as well as in Full House Theater Company/Resorts World Manila’s Bongga Ka, ‘Day!. He also served as musical director for PETA’s Rak of Aegis, 3 Stars and a Sun, and Ako si Josephine, Spotlight Artists Centre’s Dirty Old Musical, and most recently, Full House Theater Company/Resorts World Manila’s Ang Huling El Bimbo.
As an actor, his featured roles include playing Radames in Aida, Edgardo in Haring Lear, Faraj in Care Divas, Kenny in Rak of Aegis, Hector in A Game of Trolls, Judas and John the Baptist in Godspell, Christian in Mula sa Buwan, and Emman in Ang Huling El Bimbo.

What got you into theater?
When I was in La Salle Greenhills, I became a member of Cue Drama Club, and after a year, I became president and musical director. ‘Nung na-arrange ko iyung quintet, naturo ko iyung buong piyesa na iyun ni Sondheim, I will do theater.
Best advice you’ve ever gotten.
Do your 150%.

I am still dreaming about it. Maybe Jesus Christ.
What was the last show that made you cry?
Rak of Aegis. Kasi nakakaiyak silang panoorin on the last day of the run. Kahit alam kong magsasara siya at magbubukas iyan, magsasara at magbubukas, nakakaiyak talaga pagkatinatanggal iyung stage.
Hardest song or scene you’ve ever performed?
Any song on a 10am show.
