‘The Phantom of the Opera’ Extends for Two More Weeks!
The producers of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ world tour have just announced that they will be adding two more weeks to the Manila season! Due to popular demand, the musical will now run until March 31 at The Theatre at Solaire.
Earlier this month, the international cast and crew were flown in from all over the world to begin setting up and rehearsing in Manila. Jonathan Roxmouth returns to play the titular role with principal cast members Meghan Picerno (Christine) and Matt Leisy (Raoul).

Also in the cast are James Borthwick (Monsieur Firmin), Curt Olds (Monsieur André), Beverly Chiat (Carlotta Guidicelle), Melina Kalomas (Madame Giry), Thabiso Masemene (Ubaldo Piangi), Kiruna-Lind Devar (Meg Giry), and Sebastian Zokoza (Don Atillio/ Policeman).
‘The Phantom of the Opera’ became the longest running show in Broadway history on January 9, 2006 when it celebrated its 7,486th performance, surpassing previous record-holder ‘Cats.’ Two days from now, on January 26, the Broadway production will celebrate its 31st year on Broadway.
