Still, an 8-episode musical narrative series, will start streaming online this September.
The story follows a group of aspiring artists who get stuck in a music camp during the first couple of months of the pandemic. In this time of isolation, they unlock friendship and rediscover themselves and their dreams through music.
Through an exclusive partnership between Viu and This Side Up (Respeto, Apocalypse Child), Still is slated to be the first Filipino Viu Original musical narrative series. Pat Valera (Dekada ’70, Mula sa Buwan) serves as primary creator and showrunner, in collaboration with film director and screenwriter Giancarlo Abrahan (Sila-Sila, Paki), and film, TV, and theater actor Nicco Manalo. It is directed by film and music video director Treb Monteras (Respeto) and produced by Monster Jimenez.
The music and lyrics are written by Nica Del Rosario (composer of Tala, popularized by Sarah Geronimo), Matthew Chang (composer of Dekada ’70), and Mike Shimamoto, who is also a member of the cast.
Besides Shimamoto, the cast also features Gab Pangilinan, Christian Bautista, Bituin Escalante, Julie Anne San Jose, Lance Reblando, Abe Autea, and Gabby Padilla. They are joined by MC Dela Cruz, Chaye Mogg, Roco Sanchez, Ian Hermogenes, and Shaira Opsimar.
Still will have an exclusive early access run on Ticket2Me.net starting September 10, 2021. Tickets are now available for purchase via https://ticket2me.net.
