Atlantis Theatrical’s “Sweeney Todd” starring Jett Pangan and Lea Salonga will be moving to Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands after its Manila engagement.

It was announced by Salonga in a video posted by Singapore producers Singapore Repertory Theatre.

Joining Salonga and Pangan as Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney Todd respectively are Ima Castro as the Beggar Woman and Andrew Fernando as Judge Turpin. Other cast members have yet to be announced.

The show will run from October 11-27 at The Theatre at Solaire, and from November 28-December 8 at the Marina Bay Sands. It will be directed by Atlantis Theatrical’s Artistic Director Bobby Garcia.

“Sweeney Todd” is a 1979 musical thriller, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler. It won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, when it opened on Broadway in 1979, and won the Olivier Award for Best Musical in 1980. It will be the final offering of Atlantis Theatrical’s 20th season.
