The Sun Will Come Out in September: Annie to be Staged at the NPAT, Call for Auditions Announced
The beloved musical Annie is one of the latest to be staged at the Newport Performing Arts theater in September 2016. The production, led by Full House Theater Company, is put together in cooperation with Resorts World Manila and MTI New York.
Co-artistic Director Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo announced earlier, in a Facebook post, that the open auditions for the adult cast will be held on March 14 and 15 (Monday and Tuesday) at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
“Auditions and registration will be held at the 3rd floor rehearsal hall of the NPAT Theater. Registration is at 12:30. Audition proper will begin at 1:30 PM until 5:00 PM. It will be on a first come basis.”

Adult males and females from 25-50, who can both sing and dance, are encouraged to audition.
Announcement for the orphans and Annie audition will come at a later date.
Annie, based on the Harold Gray comic strip “Little Orphan Annie,” first opened in Broadway in 1977, and has become one of the most recognizable and iconic musicals. The titular role has been played by many popular actresses including Sarah Jessica Parker, and our very own Lea Salonga.
