Philippine Ballet Theatre (PBT) now in it’s 30th Season as Resident Company of the Cultural Center presents The Great Classics on July 29-31 at the CCP Main Theater with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro Herminigildo Ranera.

Guest artists include the “Golden Boy of Ballet”, Joseph Phillips of the Mariinsky Theatre and Jared Tan, homegrown PBT artist now with the Atlanta Ballet. Along with PBT danseurs Ian Ocampo, Peter San Juan, Matthew Davo, Jimmy Lumba, Crimson Guirjem, Mark Pineda, and Julafer Fegarido, these artists will partner PBT soloists Lobreza Pimentel, Regine Magbitang, Joni Galeste, Kim Abrogena, Veronica Atienza, and guest artist Veronica Ylagan.

Regine Magbitang and Matthew Davo dance Flames of Paris for PBT@30

For this production, Artistic Director Ronilo Jaynario has selected Act 2 of Swan Lake, the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet, Diana and Acteon from Esmeralda, Flames of Paris and the Grand Pas de Deux from Paquita.

Lobreza Pimental Dances Paquita for PBT@30

The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Herminigildo Ranera will perform on Friday, July 29 and at the Gala on Saturday, July 30, both at 8 pm. Other performances will be as follows: Saturday, July 30 at 3 pm, Sunday, July 31 at 2 pm and at 7 pm.
